Folder hunting...

Rules:
1. Go to the sixth folder where you store your pictures.
2. Pick the fourth picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture...

This photo is of Mt. Rainer pretty much the moment I got out of the car when my dad and I got there. I spent from June to October of 2007 living here with a bunch of other students. My main reason for being there was for ministry, through A Christian Ministry in the National Parks or more fondly known as ACMNP. There were six of us who came spacifically for the ministry and they were amazing people from all walks of life. Strangely enough we may have been very different but we were each others families for the summer. We loved each other as such and still do, very much so. During the week we would work for the park, me in the Longmire gift shop, and the rest in the Jackson Visitors Center (rest in peace) either in the gift shop or the concessions. It was the toughest summer of my life, but also one of the best. I definitely would recommend visiting the park because photos will never do it justice. It is by far one of the most spectacular places I have ever been, and I have been all over the world.

Christ...mas

I want to express with ya'll that I greatly dislike it when weather prevents planes from flying. Not only did my flight get cancelled into Spokane yesterday, but every flight from Portland, Seattle and Boise into Spokane got cancelled for Horizon Air. It was a stressful day. I was hoping that today I would get the chance to fly into Spokane and I could have but I wouldn't have been able to get back on Sunday because of flight loads and weather. I work Monday and would be f-i-r-e-d if I didn't show up for work. Not worth it to even try in that case. I called my mum and we cried together, not a great moment in my week. So basically I not only miss Christmas in my childhood home; I was already missing Christmas day because of work; but I don't get to see my brother who is flying in from New Orleans and I haven't seen him since early Aug. Mind you, I am used to not seeing him when he is away for school, but it's different this year because we have been talking about it for a long time and really miss each other. I have yet to spend a Christmas away from my family and home, so this is going to be a tough next couple weeks of work and life in general. I know that God is going to bless me in spite of the absence of my major loved ones. I just wish it would include them for Christmas day.

Good news though after Christmas my family is going to try and fly over to Portland and we will have our own Christmas day. And then two weeks later my best friend and I are going to try and go somewhere warm...just the two of us and spend some time relaxing! We have been talking about going somwhere for months and just haven't had the time or fundage to do so. But now that I am not going home and we haven't seen each other since September; not cool; we are going to make it happen finally. So that is something to look forward to, which is a nice change of pace because life has been super redundant and uneventful lately. Thats why I really haven't had much to say in the ways of funny or interesting or cheesy blogs. Man, I am depressing myself just writing this, Miss Pesimistic in the house tonight...sorry people. It just happens sometimes and isn't that what blogs are supposed to be about...venting every emotion we feel? Whatever blogs are for I am using it to express my emotions so I guess I shouldn't apologize because if you care you won't read this anymore, which I won't know either way...anywayyys...crazy me is going to go now before I start admitting to imaginary friends and such.

Merry Christ...mas to ya'll!

Bored of the usual.

(Outside my apt last Saturday night, best sunset I've seen since I moved to Portland.)>>>>

Hello my friends...it's been a while since I ventured into the blogging world. Not really sure what to blog about today but I will start something and I am sure it will take off into some cool story or something like that.

Lately I have become an avid reader of blogs from people I don't know and I have been very impressed with their writing styles. After reading them I am inspired to write something that would make others want to read my own blogs but I don't know where to begin. Sometimes I want to write about my day but there isn't usually something interesting enough to share with ya'll. Most days I want to write about romantic relationships but I feel like at this point in time that it's not appropriate to share those thoughts because they mostly involve someone else. Usually what I share about is my family or God, which is great and everything, but I feel bored of the same dang blog every time I sit down to write. So where does one begin when the topics that are most important get boring? You know I just had a thought, I think I'm more hesitant to share really personal stuff with a group of people I will never meet. It is intimidating to open one's mind and heart up and share what's going on inside, with people who may very well mock you for being a certain way. I guess I like being vague and wish that I could be open with my thoughts
